Moving to Itay!?

I am moving to Pordonone, Italy (Aviano AB) sholud I live on or off base? Where is the best plce to live?

I've been to Aviano many times.... I would try to get a place in the country side. The closer to Piancavallo the better. It's nice to get away from the hustle & bustle afre work and the country side (in Friuli) is just great.

i live about 40 km from aviano.

i think that the beginning maybe you can live inside the base, until you get settled and have some time to look around, but try and move out asap cuz living in a city for a long time and not sharing your life with the locals is a shame..we're nice people you know :)... and after all, when you'll go home you dont wanna say: the only thing i experienced is the base...
