My husband & I & our little girl (8 month) are moving to Melbourne from Chatham in USA. We will be working in Lonsdale St. We are looking to spend approx 450-500pw on rental, close to shops, parks, etc.Which suburbs would be best?

What is ave monthly cost of utilities - ave usage -(water, elect, heating, tv, telephone, internet, food, fuel)?

How much is a new car (ave size - eg, Golf, audi A4)?

What is the approx cost of daycare for 3 days a week?
