Question:

Moving to Ontario - Which city should I settle down?

I am currently living in HFX, NS and I'd like to move to Ontario. I'm considering moving to somewhere within 30 mins drive to downtown Toronto (not taking into account of rush hour and traffic jams). I've been looking at Mississauga mainly because of the job opportunities there but I haven't actually been to Mississauga. I've been to Toronto twice but both times I was at downtown, and the furthest I've been was to North York. Can someone please recommend which city should I move to. Some of my concerns are:

- Neighbourhood safety

- Apartment rental cost

- Pet (dog) friendly apartment

- Job opportunities

Thanks

  1. Toronto, even though it is expensive to live here but you will find tones of jobs opportunities and the same for friendly pets apartments. Also you have to live here and more ways to move around the city and there are nice places to go too

  2. Mississauga is North Americas most populous suburban region - there are over 750,000 people. It consists of houses, wide arterial roads, malls, and strip plazas. Good schools, lots of office work, and safe. Very expensive to buy in - and there isn't much for sale. Oakville, which is further away, is VERY affluent.

  3. Simple Mississauga

  4. Missisauga is a great place based on what you mention, there are more suburbs, but I think Missisauga is the one with more job opportunities and accomodation is cheaper than Toronto, in any case it may be likely that you'll find a job in the city and be commuting from Missisauga to Toronto
