Moving to Ontario from UK need to know if NVQ 4 in childcare is equiv. to ECE diploma?

I have worked in a pre-school in England for 5 years and ran it for the last 3 years, my qualification is in child care learning and development. If this is not a recognised qualification in Canada does anyone know if i could do distance learning from any college or university over there to get my ece diploma. I also do childminding here at home and would be intersted if anyone could tell me anything about child home caring in Canada. Thanks

You would have to get in touch with a colllege where you are re-locating and meet with the Program Director of the ECE program. You need to bring your courses so they can determine if you will be exempted from any and which ones you might have to take. Good luck with the move. Where in Ontario are you relocating? I am in Ontario as well... Cornwall to be exact...1 hour from Montreal, 1 hour from Ottawa and 5 minutes from USA.
