Hi I am considering moving to Italy & need to open a personal bank account, does anyone know of any banks in the Rome area which offer personal banking?

  1. Check with your home bank and ask who they recommend. This is the first step before fielding your question.

    You may want to bank with a "company" that will allow you transfer funds and or arrange other financial transactions with your home country bank.


  2. Americans can not open Italian bank accounts its a US law!! You may have to do online banking like we do because we live in Italy.
