  1. Munich! They have great beergardens and there is always something going on. The English Garden is in Munich and the river Isar runs through it. There are many churches, castles, playhouses, discos, coffee houses, great shopping, good transportation, excellent Restaurants, Octoberfest, Hofbraeuhaus. Just to many to mention. I love it.

Don't be heading to North Germany, because the Country is very flat, Munich has the Alps and it is as little hills. You don't even need a car to live in Munich, because there is a train for every destination.

  2. definitely munich... some people refer to it as the metropolis with heart- meaning that it's a big city but you don't feel lost in it. there's loads to do and the people are mostly friendly and fun. it's a very open-minded city, i would say

  3. The Rhein-Main Area, Frankfurt is the biggest city in it, is a good area to move. Less unemployment in Germany, very international and tolerant. Here live still many American soldiers. In Germany Frankfurt is called "Mainhattan" (Main is the river in Frankfurt), and when you are there, you will remembered on New York. I live here, and you are welcome

  4. Agree with sixtwo42. Munich and sourroundings are beautiful. It was recently voted to be the most beautiful city the world. And, its the safest city in Germany.

Another great advantage is that you can visit Austria, Italy and Switzerland in a matter of only a few hrs by car.

You'll also find that the Munich area has the lowest unemployment rate in Germany.

  5. I live in mannheim, germany now and i like it but jobs are not that easy to find. Make sure you speak German before you come or your gonna have problems. The bigger cities will have more opportunities. Also keep in mind that cost of living is really high over here.

  6. Kaiserslautern because there are military bases and alot of english is spoken here. But ratherthan move to Germany how about Switzerland Interlaken is an awesome sports adventure town.

  7. Munich a great city to live in.

It is sort of a high society place with lots of wannabe-celebrities, but it is still a fun city. Lots to do at night, lots of parks, cafés, and of course Oktoberfest every year ;)

My dad read this study recently that Munich supposedly has the "highest quality of life". I don't know if that is really true, but speaking from personal experience: I have lived in many places and none were as good as Munich. It's clean, the crime rate is very low, public transportation is great....and much more.

The only downside is, that living here is not exactly cheap...

You should still check it out...
