  1. Like everyone else.

You'll get the mickey taken out of you, mostly it won't be malicious, it's just that the english sense of humour is a little more offensive and depreciating than the americans are used to. People will be idiots, racism still exists, but luckily they are in the extreme minority.

Have thick skin, because we love making fun of americans, we'll embarras you, insult you, and probably get you very drunk.

But we're not rasist, it's cause you're american lol.

I mean with a little upgrading you will be just fine! I mean London is more sensual then Utah I gues! and more openminded! but u can get there too!

    good luck and have funn!

optherwise just hang with your class mates!

  2. OK, the person above has obviously had some kind of bad experiance but dont blame all Londoners!!  We are not all s*x mad creeps!  I have lived in London my whole life and met all types from all backgrounds.  Out of the hundreds of people I know only a handful of them are 'swingers' and even then they are still selective, not just jumping on anything that moves.

You will have a great experiance going to school in one of the worlds greatest cities.  Good luck.

  3. I HOPE YOU DONT LIKE TO EAT or SUN bathe

  4. My parents live in St. Johns Wood & it's such a lovely area.  There are lots of little shops & cafes there as well as a really pretty little park. It's also really close to Regents Park, which is one of the most awesome in LDN.

There are HEAPS of Americans who live there because of ASL. The little grocery market there sells American food like Oreos and Kraft Mac&Cheese.

Swiss Cottage is a nice area, too, and it's not too far from school.

Did you know that ASL's colors are ORANGE and BLACK???? That's the one bummer. Other that that, I think you'll love it there. It's such an awesome city, and despite what people say, the food there doesn't suck that much and there are actually sunny, pretty days. I have a few friends who are graduating from ASL this yr, and they've had a great time. It really is just like an American school, so you don't have to worry about transitioning to the Brit system. Plus, you won't have to wear a uniform there like you would at a Brit schoo. Everyone who goes there is in the same situation as you, so they know what it's like to move overseas. You won't be made fun of for being an American there, that's for sure. : )

If you're family is religious, you might want to look into the American Church in London. There are some really cool ppl who go there. It isn't too far from Swiss Cottage.

I hope you like it there!

  5. OMG OMG you are actually comming to London!

I wish I was leaving London for the US!

London is great and I gues if you go to a bookshop or a library and you can find all the info you need.

Unfortunately they will not tell you about the sexual attitudes of the Londoners.

That you wil have to find out yourself.

Most Americans would find it a bit creepy I must say! The way that they do it, but if you are quite relaxed about it, you will be fine.

The problem is that it might take time to find out, and then you might just be entraped with your college to leave and so you really need to dig this out.

Botom line is if you are fine with s*x groups, you will be fine here.

If you like bi gys and girl the better for you.

This is what London is like!

I wish someone told me about it before, I would have been able to make a chse.

Now in my case I amlooking to live, and have unfortunately build on some negative experiences, you know when they bully you to make you do it, and maybe load you a bit to much.

My self I am out of here!

I am sure lots of people would love it here, but not for me!

Let me know if this is of any help! You can e-mail me if u need to know more.

If what u read is nothing  new to you then move on! you need nothing from  here, just go to a bookstore! u ll be just fine!

  6. Swiss Cottage is OK but where are you coming from ?

    Which American school ?

Give me a clue and I will try to be more specific.
