Moving to new high high school freshman year,what should i do?

I just moved to southern Indiana from another state. I'm a guy who is entering high school. I'm average at every sport and i got straight A's in the advanced calsses in middle school. What should I do to make friends and how not to sit alone at lunch?

Well I too am going to be a freshman but I didnt move lolz. But you moving could be a good way to make a fresh start! Dont try too hard to be popular because that isnt cool. Id advise make new friends who you play a sport with. Football for example, If you play that practice has probably started already, just make friends there and when school comes hang out with them. :] sorry if none of that was helpful.

Listen Kev, the truth is most ppl are shy, especially around the new guy at school. you're going to have to do most the work.  The only out-going groups to new kids is the stoners.  they'll invite you to sit with them and go places with them. dont!  the popular kids will want to be friends with you if you play it cool from the start. dont talk too much, stay untouchable for  a while. then, start talking to the popular kids a few days into the year. they'll cling to you immediately because you revitalize their cred in school.
