  1. Scotland is a great place to live, I may be a tad biased coz I live there :)

There is nothing to stop you giving it a try and if you don't like it then you can go back home.

It depends where about in Scotland you are going?

Is it a town or are you going to the countryside ?

  2. come to Scotland, it is only 4.5 hrs away from North Wales.

  3. Never say never. i think this is a fabulous opportunity and scotland is a great country , and if u dont like the job u can always look foryour luck at the moment, which i had the same opportunity

  4. I would not go to Glasgow, it's rough

  5. Glasgow smells and it's like a landfill. Go in Edinburgh where the people have big noses. The best place in Scotland is the islands and there you can be a good fisherman. I hope that helps, if no I dont mind

  6. Yes, Scotland is the best and "most" of the people are uniquely friendly.  If it's Glasgow you are moving to, it's certainly NOT as bad or as rough as everyone in other places makes out.  Yes it has problems like any other big city, but it also has alot of friendly caring people who would help you out if you needed it.

Take the job and see for yourself.  Good luck!  :)

  7. Would have the be Glasgow.

For a start Glasgow is the only major city in Scotland, over half the entire population of Scotland live in Greater Glasgow.

It is also by far the most cosmapolitan city in Scotland.

  8. aye go for it u can at least try and see what happens

  9. I can only agree with what most people have already said. Go for it! If you don't, you will always be wondering 'what if'? Nothing ventured = nothing gained! I have lived in Glasgow all my life and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I love it so much. You are young and this is a fantastic opportunity for you. Give it a go and if you really don't like it then you can always say that you tried your best but it wasn't for you. Good luck!

  10. We were in Glasgow last week (my first visit to Scotland) and the thing that impressed me most was how friendly the people were.  They certainly welcomed us and were very helpful with directions etc.  The taxi drivers and lovely, so chatty and nice.  Glasgow is slightly grey but loads of good shops.  Within 10 minutes of driving you are out in the countryside (beautiful too).  Go for it, if you don't like it you can always go home, you are not emigrating.  Good luck and I am sure you will have a good time.  P.S. Museums, Art Galleries and Concert Halls in Glasgow too if you like that sort of thing.

  11. hi:)

if youre still studying and dont want to stop that there's tons of great colleges in glasgow too (and even if you're between glasgow and edinburgh, the distance is okay if you've got a train station nearby, almost all go to Glasgow Central)

basically scotlands great :) and cause youre welsh you'll be loved, mon the celts :p

basically i would *love* an opportunity like that, although obviously the other way round cause im already in scotland :p

  12. You have nothing to lose & you may love the job & Scotland. You can always go home , but at least you have given it your best shot.  I live in Glasgow & Edinburgh is only 45 minutes away, so you have 2 great cities to choose from. Plenty night life in both, but Glasgow is bigger.  Good luck.
