Question:

Moving to the UK from US.. Should I? Any tips?

I'm very seriously considering leaving the States for ROI or UK in the next year or so. I've been reading everything I can get my hands on (including immigration requirements), am planning a scouting trip, and do not forsee any problems in that regard. Does anyone have any advice for Web Designer not wanting to live in a major city hub? I also intend to pursue my equestrian goals so I need to be near a well equipped equestrian centre. Any advice on the actual move? Anything I SHOULDN'T do? Thanks

  1. First and foremost: Learn the different words. You don't want to go in a shop looking for "pants" which we English call trousers. Pants in England are boys underwear. :P

  2. Hello Lost:

Have you thought about New Zealand?

We were thinking about moving to Ireland, but when the economy collapsed, they clamped down on immigration. New Zealand is looking for immigrants, take a look at http://www.workingin.com/

  3. The people of Britain are wonderful. They are warm, friendly, helpful and loving. Best of Luck to you.

The UK is heaven to me, I wish I was born there.
