Moving to the isle of wight?

i live in worcester at the mo and need to get to southampton... which train station in southampton should i go to.

then i need to get a bus or taxi to the bay to get the boat to the isle of wight

how much do you think the train will be

how much do you think the bus/taxi will be

how much do you think the boat to the isle of wight will be?

  1. You need to get the Southampton Central train station which is right in the centre.  There are a number of different ferries you can catch - if you dont have a car, then the best would probably be the red jet (its the fastest one, only for foot passengers)

    Its not that close to the train station - Getting the bus should be straighforward enough - I dont know the numbers to get I'm afriad, but just ask someone at the station - you'll need to get to Town Quay which is where the red jet sails from.  Should cost about a pound I think for a single.  A taxi would cost more like £4

    The boat is quite expensive (its the most expensive ferry crossing in the world)...a single will cost about £13, return about £18.
