Ok so in fall i'm going to pointe in ballet (I'm so excited!!!) and this summer i'm doing pre-pointe twice a week so i dont just sit around and be lazy for 2 1/2 months. I care SO much about doing great in dance that I really want to find some excersises to get me completely ready for pointe, even though I'm already like MAJOR sore. I need some easy stuff for my sore days (to give my body a rest) and some hard stuff for my better days when i'm able to do some real work. Thanks so much!!

  1. The best thing to do to prepare for pointe the best is to strengthen your ankles and arches. In order to do so you might want to try going down in a plie and rolling up on realave. That will help both your ankles and your arches, but mainly your ankles. Another way to help is to break in your pointe shoes before dancing on them. I suggest that if you have a bad arch that you bend your shoes back a forth until it loosens up. Eventually after wearing them for a while they will lossen up and you can bend them alot easier and get all the way on the box better. I hope I could have been of some help and good luck!!!

  2. cure to soreness is to stretch more lol
