I HAVE MOWED WITH A WEED WHACKER .IT TAKES TIME AND THE RESULTS AREN'T AS GOOD AS A MOWER WOULD BE. BUT IT CAN BE DONE

Bad idea all around.

It takes too long and the cut will be uneven. Worst of all, trimmers don't actually "cut" the grass. They tear it. This is stressful for the grass. In the long run, you'll do more harm than good.
