Everton boss, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nikica-Jelavic-c27906 rediscovers his touch and was confident that he will soon hit the top gear.
The Croatian International has had a relatively quite spell recently, failing to find the back of the net during the last one month.
His last goal for the Toffees came against Wigan Athletic in a 1-1 draw at the DW Stadium earlier in October. In his 9 league appearances so far this term, the striker has notched up 4 goals.
His recent form is in sharp contrast to his sensational blitz in the previous season, which saw him become the fastest player in the club’s last 100 years to reach the ten-goal mark.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marouane-Fellaini-c24295 has currently assumed the role of the leading forward and is the leading goal scorer for the Toffees this season.
However, the Goodison Park chief was confident that Jelavic will soon be back to his clinical best. He said that the striker has set high standards for himself after getting his Everton career to a sparkling start, but pointed out that the players’ form
keeps on fluctuating during the length of the year.
“We have just to keep giving him the opportunity to score the goals because he is a really good goalscorer,” he told the reporters.
“Just at the moment we are missing his real fire. But players will do that and go through periods of different form during the season.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 are currently placed fourth in the league table, after having secured 17 points from their 10 games. Moyes’ unit have only suffered a single defeat so far and are looking like a formidable force to mount a sustained challenge for a top-four finish.
The 49-year-old Scott feels that his side were playing much better football than the previous campaign and have become more potent upfront. Hence, he insisted that Jelavic will have a lot of opportunities throughout the season and will eventually leave his
mark.
“He'll get his goals and contribute between now and the end of the season I have no doubt,” he added.
