Everton's boss, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Moyes lambasted the match referee Mike Jones, after an action-packed game against Manchester United at Old Trafford which ended in a 4-4 draw.
The Scott was not pleased with official’s decision of allowing the game to continue in the build-up to United’s second goal, with Steven Pienaar lying on the ground.
Earlier, Jones had halted the proceedings when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 were looking to break on a quick counter attack.
Despite the fact that his side were able to salvage a point right at the death with two late goals, the 48-year old lashed out at the standard of refereeing during the game, and termed Jones’ decision as being against the rules.
He told Sky Sports, “The referees can do what they want, can’t they? They really can. They can make their own mind up, make their own rules up. And I thought he made his own rules up today.”
The Scott questioned the double standards of the referee, as to why he dealt with the two identical situations in a different manner.
“When http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Steven-Pienaar-c34208’s down, you’d have thought then if he was being consistent that he’d maybe even it up, and say ‘Oh, the player’s down I’ll do that.’ He never did it and they scored from it.” He added.
The decision seemed like it wasn't going to affect the outcome of the game, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nikica-Jelavic-c27906, Pienaar and Fellaini helped them stretch
their unbeaten run in the Premier League to five games now.
Moyes believed that his side did not deserve to go two goals down during the game. He was relieved that his side were able to capture a point from the game, after having suffered a heartbreaking semi-final defeat against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 in the FA Cup.
“The emphasis was big here today to try and make sure we came here and got a result because at the moment we’re down.”
He went on to say that back-to-back defeats in big games could have affected their performance in the remaining league games this season.
