Currently, the Toffees are lying at the seventh place in the league table and lead their local rivals http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 by a single point, with just one more game to play.
However Moyes, who has guided Everton in finishing at the top half of the table on regular basis, felt that it is important for the club to make a habit of signing new players, instead of sticking with the old guard for a long period.
He told the reporters, “We might now be in a situation where we have to start trading players more than we would like to - but that is the way things go.”
Even though the Scott has failed to win any accolades for Everton over the span of ten years, the Merseyside club have stuck with him keeping in view his phenomenal stats. He has now managed the Toffees in 472 games in all competitions, and boosts an impressive
41.74 percent win record.
Everton’s recent ascent in the league, which has seen them build an eight match unbeaten sequence, owes much to the January signings made by Moyes. He signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Darron-Gibson-c10368 from Sporting and Manchester United respectively on a permanent
contract, while he also brought http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Steven-Pienaar-c34208 on-loan from Spurs till the end of the season.
And Moyes was pleased to see his January signings make a big impact at Goodison Park upon their arrival, claiming that they had transformed their dull game into an exciting one.
He added, “I have really enjoyed the way we have played since January, it has given me a great thrill…At the start of the year I don't think I would have come and watched - there was nothing to excite me.”
Everton will play their final game of the season against Newcastle United at Goodison Park on Sunday. Moyes acknowledged the Magpies remarkable current season which has seen them launch a sustained challenge for a top-four finish, and believed that the whooping
35 million pounds that they got after selling Andy Carroll had allowed them to build a strong squad.
He continued, “They got a big buy off Andy Carroll which gave them some cash to go and spend and it changed things around.”
