Speaking to the media after the game, the 49-year old Scott lauded his side for making a strong comeback after experiencing an early setback.
He claimed that a point was the least that they deserved out of the fixture and that they could even have gone on to secure the clincher.
“The players played really well and it was a deserved equaliser with the way we played after going a goal behind,” he told the reporter.
“It was a disappointing start but great credit to the players who kept getting on the ball and trying to play and we’ve got the rewards from it.”
When asked to comment on Steven Pienaar’s penalty shout, Moyes responded by saying that he had no qualms that the decision should have been given in favour of his player.
He also stated that his team have been at the receiving end of some poor refereeing recently, but nevertheless, refused to take any credit away from Arsenal for putting up a strong performance.
“We had very few decisions that went for Everton and sometimes referee decisions change the game and we were never going to get anything tonight,” he added.
