Everton boss, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Moyes has mentioned that he will talk to the club’s chairman, Bill Kenwright about Steven Pienaar’s future at Goodison Park, who is currently playing for the Toffees on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
The South African footballer is set to make a return to the North London side at the end of the season, after Spurs made a six month loan deal with Everton, on the very last day of the January transfer window.
The Scott indicated that he will bring up the matter in front of the chairman of the club, at the end of the season.
Moyes told the club’s official website:"I will talk to the Chairman at the end of the season so I don't think there will be anything done before then.”
Pienaar, who has also played for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 from 2007 to 2011, has made 10 appearances for the Toffees this year and scored 3 goals. He has played an important role in the Toffees upsurge in the last couple of months.
He scored a goal against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 at Goodison Park in February to help his side secure a 2-0 win, and also bagged a scalp against Sunderland in April. His last goal for the Toffees came at a crucial time against Manchester United at Old Trafford, when he
netted the ball late to help his side salvage a point, via a dramatic 4-4 draw.
The Everton boss acknowledged the valuable contribution of the South African footballer, and admitted that he will love to see him sign a permanent contract with the Toffees.
“For all the times people may ask me there certainly won't be an answer but, yes, it would be great to keep him.” The Scott added.
The 30 year old winger first played for Everton in the 2007/2008 season, when he came to Merseyside on loan from the German side Borussia Dortmund, for a one year spell. However, he later signed a three year contract with the Toffees, and made his Premier
League debut in August 2007 against Wigan Athletic.
He made 104 appearances for Everton before making a move to White Hart Lane in January 2011. In total, he represented the North London side in 10 games, before returning to Goodison Park in January this year.
Nevertheless, Moyes revealed that the player is having a wonderful time at Everton at the moment, which may force the Spurs into selling him to the Merseyside outfit in the summer.
“I think he's found somewhere where he is happy so hopefully we will be able to do something.” He added.
