Can I install the new version *3* over my existing version? Without uninstalling version 2 before installing version 3.

Will it cause me to lose my POP email address that I created when Fire Fox 2 was installed on my PC.

  1. yeah, you can

  2. Shouldn't be a problem, I've installed it over 2 a number of times with no problems.

  3. You will not lose anything that you do not want to lose. You should go to http://www.mozilla.com and there should be a big green button that says download Firefox 3.0 and click it, it should override Firefox 2 or whatever you are using right now. You will still have your email address and everything that you want to transfer from Firefox to Firefox or Internet Explorer to Firefox.

  4. You shouldn't but there is a free utility you can download that will back up all of your Firefox settings, from bookmarks, passwords, history, extensions, basically everything. It is called MozBackup

  5. yea, i did that and there are no problems at all
