Mp3 Player Question?

i just bought a red coby clip mp3 player(1 gb)..it turns on and everything..but i connected it to my computer and it says name your file i did and it says "cannot name file now"..then i made a playlist and tried to sync it using windows media player..and it says it cant sync it :(..anything i can do or use?....
