Mp3/digital media player

Question

I have a eTec mp3 player that windows media player won't recognize. It says the device port is malfunctioning and gives me an error code: 80045006...what does this code mean?? Do I need a firmware upgrade? Where can I get it if so? There is no contact info for the manufacturer, I've searched everywhere online! Please help!!!!!!!!!
