Mp4 movie downloaded and transferred into itunes but will not go onto my ipod touch?

so i made a question like this before but it wasn't answered properly. i downloaded a movie in mp4 format to my itunes but when i went to put it from itunes into my ipod, it said "movie was not copied onto ipod because it cannot play on this ipod". i know the movie works because i played it in itunes and it IS in mp4 format and i have other movies on my ipod and there is enough space so i dont know what's wrong or how to fix it. help!! someone said to try converting the selection in itunes, which i did but it converted it and supposedly made a copy of it which transferred onto my ipod but now there is only sound and a white screen with no video :(

You should make sure the video is MP4 or H2.64 video for iPod. Here is a step by step guide about converting DVD, Videos, Flash and Youtube videos to iPod

not all .mp4 videos can sync to ipod , ipod supports only up to 640*480 resolution,right click the video and select 'Convert selection for iPod/iPhone',otherwise,you need a third party software to convert your videos.i recommend you the iSkysoft iPod Movie Converter.
