Do we have any evidence that the "credit crunch" has affected other Governments' popularity like it has in the UK?

  1. Exactly; he always claimed credit for economic success - but now we are going into recession he cites "world economic problems", the hypocrite !!

  2. 6pm news on radio 4 said there is talk of 'senior ex-ministers' discussing getting him to step down.

Who would want the job though?

They have mucked up big time, the world recession isn't exactly helping but people are sick of their views being ignored, while taxed up to the hilt, then reading about MP's allowed expenses plus our money  given away to other countries, our borders being wide open, Government targets impeding the police, the NHS and criminals walking free while those defending themselves get arrested.

A bit slanted (my view), but that's how I see it.

As far as I know other Governments haven't suffered as much and Norway (not in the EU!) is feeling the crunch, but their thrifty Government has some money put by for just such an eventuality.

  4. Yes,there is a world wide credit crunch thanks to greedy banks/ building societies but many other countries have substantial monetary reserves. Brown has emptied our piggy bank on the usual daft socialist schemes as a result ordinary people are suffering but he and the rest of our political leaders don't care because they've looked after themselves with massive pay rises and tax avoidance..
