Mr Chow likely to win the Owlerton Bookmakers Stayers - Duplicated
Mr Chow has the best chances of winning the Owlerton Bookmakers Stayers – Duplicated at Sheffield in England on Tuesday, April 10, 2012. The triumphant greyhound will be awarded a prize money of £500.
The Grade OR, 660 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 20:00 GMT and the six entries confirmed for it are: Mr Chow, Proper Pink, Welton Arthur, Savana George, Tohill Joy and Varra Bruno.
The bookies have sown full confidence in Mr Chow, who has been doing a decent job over the past few months. He managed to finish fourth in his last race at Sheffield, but has the ability to improve on that today.
The C. Lund’s trainee had a starting price of 7 to 2 in his most recent race and was up against some very good runners. He did not get off to a good start, thus lost momentum from then onwards. He failed to recover from that position, but still managed
to end up fourth.
Despite that lacklustre show, the punters will be encouraged to place the maximum number of bets on Mr Chow, who is the son of Droopys Scolari out of Flying Winner and was born in February 2010.
Another hound, expected to do well in the Owlerton Bookmakers Stayers – Duplicated, is Proper Pink. She has been doing well in this class and has also set some impressive trial times at Sheffield.
In his most recent OR race at Sheffield, Proper Pink finished third overall, after having entered the race with a starting price of 6 to 1. She looked in control of proceedings at the start, but lost momentum as the race progressed.
A. McKenna, trainer of the second favourite hound, will be expecting a much better show from his runner today. The white and blue b***h is the daughter of Westmead Hawk out of Proper Lu Lu and was born in February 2009.
Other than the top two, Welton Arthur will also be expected to do well at Sheffield. He might find things difficult in this grade, but has the experience to cope up with pressure.
The E. Parker’s trainee is the son of Head Bound out of Galtee Minnie and was born in September 2009.
The real fight will be amongst the top two and the rest will definitely find it hard to challenge them.
