  1. Ok: I'm 45, so I say Colin Firth: hot hot hot!!!

My 18 year old daughter says Matthew MacFadyen, also hot!!!

They're two totally different interpretations of the same character, both done brilliantly, but uniquely.

Have fun with all the answers: you're going to get a lot. FYI, in my Theology class at college, the lecturer was talking about Providence and mentioned Jane Austen's novels, then was silly enough to mention Pride and Prejudice: effectively stopped the whole lecture: it was a riot! Cheers!

  2. matthew macFadyen=mr.darcy!!!!!

  3. in my opinion, firth was more emotional and macfayden was the "serious" darcy, but they both got the finner details of him down: snobbish, conceited, high and mighty. i can't chose, you see both versions and end up going back and forth.

the portrail that everyone will remember will be (of course) firth, but they both show him so well with his pride, and his falling in love gradually with lizzy. i'm glad that both characters show him so well, i'm a great fan of the book.
