Mr Goofy likely to prevail in IWEC Electrical Handicap Chase
Mr Goofy is tipped to win the IWEC Electrical Handicap Chase at Ffos Las in England on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. A cash prize of £1,949 will be awarded to the winner of the class-5 event.
The track will be good and the stamina of all runners will be put to a test in the race, which will start at 15:00 GMT, as the overall distance to cover is 2 miles and 5 furlongs. Following entries have been confirmed for action: Bellaboosh, Border Lad,
Louis Ludwig, Mac Halen, Mr Goofy, Wait No More and Michigan D´isop.
Although there are some very good runners taking part in the chase, the best chances of victory seem to be with Mr Goofy, who has got some useful experience and is also carrying pretty decent momentum.
The 11-year-old gelding has participated in 16 chase races overall, winning one of them and finishing third on the same number of times. Moreover, he has also secured the runner up position on a couple of times, which shows that he has the potential to fight
at the front with consistency.
Importantly, the Michael Scudamore’s trainee is in good form right now, as he finished runner up in his most recent outing. He was not rated as the favourite to win back then, but managed to give a tough time to his rivals. His stamina is good, which will
definitely help him attract a lot of bets from the punters.
Mr Goofy will be partnered by Tom Scudamore, who is a seasoned runner and has enjoyed plenty of success in chase events. He has managed to win 113 of them his recent form also suggests that he will be a force to reckon at Ffos Las today.
However, the bookies have shown more confidence in the abilities of Bellaboosh, who is carrying the winning momentum right now. She was victorious in her most recent run, which would have given a lot of confidence to her.
Despite that, the bettors might not risk a lot of bets in favour of the six-year-old mare, as she has never won any chase event. She has taken part in a couple of them and the best she could manage was a runner up position once.
