What would be a good background story for the two competing for the IC Title if Masters was champ.

Mr Kennedy coming out to prove to the fans that the Masterlock is really easy to break out of and is a cheap gimmick.That gets Masters mad and he challenges Mr Kennedy to a matchto show he's the better wrestler and puts his IC title on the line to show he's serious.Masters attacks Mr K backstage to lay down a marker and help him make his mind up.They face each other in a Cage match for the IC title where Mr Kennedy wins with the Mic Check finisher.

Masters was a bad wrestler. So Kennedy could have won with out any problems. I say Kennedy wins in a squash within a minute.
