Question

So I had a dream that my boyfriend and I were like Mr and Mrs Smith and on the run from some killers, although I'm not sure for what reason. We get busted in the end and I have to watch these guys beat the living c**p out of my boyfriend. This was a very lucid dream and I woke up in a panic and had a pretty hard time getting back to sleep. What could it mean? Why did I have to watch my bf get beaten so badly?

I think this was just an entertaining dream that went wrong....I think the brain goes through a great deal of information at night, and our dreams are the visual representation of our brain organizing and cross referencing data.  Sometimes dreams are an indicator of stress, anger, happiness, confidence, or any number of emotions.  These can be very helpful in analyzing your true feelings about something.  

I don&#039;t think that was one of those dreams.  Unless you are harboring some sort of secret resentment against your boyfriend, I think this dream just started out as an entertaining midnight spy film for your cerebellum, and accidentally cross referenced a UFC pay per view match.  You seem sincerely concerned that you had to watch that, so I don&#039;t think it means anything bad for your relationship.  Entirely accidental and nothing to feel bad about or worry about.      : )

Most dreams we have are about ourselves, even though other people are in them.  They usually represent something else; not always but usually.

It could mean running away from things that hurt you; words, etc.
