Mri or ct scan??????????

my doctor suggested i got a ct scan because of my chronic headaches but when they asked my insurance company they denied the ct scan because there was insufficient evidence so no im going to get and mri. how was i supposed to prove i had a headache? and will the mri still show what they were originally going to look for in the ct scan?

  1. You should meet a consultant doctor and get a report from him after the investigations are done. You may be having a headache but the CT or the MRI may not show anything.

    You can get disabling headaches without any thing being shown on a CT or MRI.

    Therefore just because nothing is shown on th CT or MRI one cannot deny

    that you are not having a headache.

    You have to try and convince them again but you have to do according to

    their criteria.
