Much Appreiated Help Needed on ? Moving Violation Fee In Los Angeles?

Good Evening All!

I have a ? about the inability even after a 30 day extension to pay a 400.00 fine due on June 13th. I am a single working mom whose every penny goes to rent a used ar payment, food and utilities. Even then, I have to borrow some months if there is something unexpected. Is there a form to file or plea to make so I don't have my license suspended? The violation was taken off, but I failed to appear due to work, that is what the fine came down to. I asked for traffic schl but was denied. Thanks so much for any answers.

I understand your situation, but unfortunately the court probably won't.  Employers are supposed to give you time off to appear in court.  Since you failed to appear and did not notify the court beforehand, the odds are now going to be against you because by not showing up, you are basically accepting the fine.  I suggest you call the clerk of the court and  ask if you can negotiate a payment plan where you pay in installments.  Good luck and hang in there, you'll get through.
