Question:

Mucus Plug or just Discharge?

36 weeks, I was wrapped up in a white towel after a shower today, sat down on my bed to put lotion on my legs, and when I stood up there were 2 goops of bright yellow on the towel. Is it normal for pregnancy discharge to be bright yellow, or was that part of my mucus plug? Gross question I know! Thanks for answering!

  1. Could very well have been your mucus plug.

  2. It could be part of it. Mine came apart in peices, also alot of women start labor about 24 hours losing their plug. Mine took a week to completely start though! Sorry if that wasen't any help! Good luck and Congrats!

  3. It could have been your mucus plug. Generally speaking, it would be tinged with blood but not always the case. And the problem with mucus plug is that you can either lose it all at once, lose it piece by piece over a few weeks time, or not lose it at all until birth. You being 36 weeks means you should have a doctor appointment soon. Mention that you had some discharge and they will more than likely check you anyway but your OBGYN/Midwife will be able to tell you if you have lost it.

  4. Sometimes it s hard to tell being this late in pregnancy, being mother of three you never know because every pregnancy is different. Its possible that it is your mucous plug, but keep in mind tat even if it is that does not mean that you are going to go into labor anytime soon it just means that the day is getting closer. It's nothing to go running to the hospital over unless you are having contractions that are regular. Good luck and hope that everything goes well for you during birth and congratulations!!!

  5. if it was like snots then it is probably your mucus plug it also may have some blood in it sometimes i had that happen and i went into labor like 4 days later but every women is different good luck
