Mucus in poo!?

my 2 years old son has had his bowels open a few times today and there seems to be quite a bit of mucus in his poo has anyone experienced this with thier child before?

he isnt complaining of tummy ache or anything and is eating normal

  2. Yeah, my son has had that when he has the cold!  its horrid isn't it?  If you are concerned, phone NHS 24 for professional advice or reassurance though.  

    When I first saw your question, I thought it said "mucus in POOL!  lol!

  3. I would ask your doctor. Mucus in the bowel could be a bit of a intestine infection, like bacteria infection. Most likey nothing serious but have it checked out. Could also be part of a cold he might have. You can have colds without runny nose or suffy nose or even with no  coughing or sneezing. Good Luck!
