Question:

Mud wasp nest?

I've already tried a trap and it didn't work. Since they are mud wasps, I cant find the nest. I've tried top of the line bee spray, and doused the area about 5 times, and it still did nothing. HOW CAN I GET THEM AWAY. By the way, it is in the middle of my paitball course in the woods.

  1. scrape it off  keep an eye on it when they start coming back scrape off again

  2. I've never been stung by one in 42 years but I hear that they can sting.  Did you know that they stuff their nests full of paralyzed spiders?  Their young hatch and feed on the spiders.  I don't know about you, but I'd rather deal with mud daubers.  Here's a good link.

  3. You can look up info on them, they sound like mud "daubers", so that would be a good place to start, however everything I can find on them say they are not really that harmful, and even beneficial.  Most of what I found states to knock down the mud 'house' they build, but if there is available mud around and plenty of insect food for them, they will only move a little farther away.  Good luck! (Maybe you can think of them as an extra obstacle in your paintball course?!)
