Muffler help please.......?

i cant get my old muffler off i dont kno if its weled on there or what not i have a 1997 chevy lumina and ima put a new one on do you know how much most muffler places charge to take that one off and put the new one on that i have???

If it's the stock muffler, it's welded on.

Have you considered asking a muffler shop what they'd charge to replace it?  They MIGHT know.

just take a hacksaw and cut it off.

most places should be around 100$, i recomend calling and asking a few places and see who will do it the cheapest for you.

Probably an hours labor with your part. Where I live it's one hour,so figure 100 dollars, some country shops might only charge 45 dollars an hour, depends where you live and what the average shop flat rate is there.
