Muffler sound change for 97 civic?

Want a "deep","low" sound that is NOT crazy loud at all. No weedwacking or farting sound either.

Heard Flowmasters are good for this and especially the 60 series since theyre not as loud as the 40 series.

What do you guys think?

PS: No I'm not looking into getting a catback, headers, nor CAI just yet, I'm just focusing on getting a MUFFLER. THANKS.

  1. flowmaster delta 40 series are loud, but as long as you're not sitting around revving the engine, its not so obnoxious as people would have you think.  there are a lot of different versions of the mufflers in each series, so make sure you get the right ones for what you want.  60 delta would be ok if you want a little more rumble but not so much roar (though i think it may get a little close to a weedwacker).  i'd recommend the middle-ground and go with delta 50s.  there are other options and other brands, as well, if you're up for cherry-bombs or any generic 'glass-pack'.

most auto mechanics can help you with this, and even places like monro and meineke can do it.

  2. im pretty sure flowmasters make a v-8 sound good, not your crappy half engine.... buy a pinto and be done with it all!!!
