Muhammad Aamer warned after incident with Ricky Ponting at Lord’s

According to Gould, the clash was unclear and as a result no action could be taken. A similar incident had taken place with Michael Clarke and the 18 year old Aamer who was so excited after taking his wicket that he crashed into the batsman who was leaving for the pavilion. Even though he apologized immediately, it was noted by the officials.
Referee Broad said that there was no reason to take action against the inexperienced youngster, dismissing the Ponting incident as an accident and not serious enough to be considered as a breach of the International Cricket Council code of conduct. He did however stress that the incident should not take place in the future.
