Muhammed Aamer admits his guilt to a PCB official
Muhammed Aamer, left-arm pace bowler for Pakistan, has apologized to a PCB official for appearing in a club match on Monday, he bowled five overs in the match despite a ban imposed on him by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The ICC chiefs upon hearing the news about Aamer’s involvement in a domestic match for a club, played at the Rawalpindi cricket stadium, voiced their concerns in a letter to the PCB on Tuesday.
The ICC was discontented on the reports and dismissed any reports of showing leniency to the young and talented Aamer.
The 18 year old youngster was implicated in October 2010 by the English media (News of the World) for bowling intentional no balls in a test match between Pakistan and England at Lords.
The ICC intervened and provisionally suspended Muhammed Aamer alongwith the Skipper Salman Butt and fast bowler Muhammad Asif on alleged charges of spot fixing.
The fate-deciding hearing of the tainted trio’s spot-fixing case will be held next month in Doha, the ICC tribunal under the supervision of Michael Beloff sine they failed to reach a verdict after a six day hearing held between 6th and the 11th
of January earlier and deferred it to the 5th of February. The tribunal also announced that the trio was to remain suspended until a verdict is reached.
The minimum sentence for corruption if proved guilty is a ban of five years while the capital punishment leads to a life-ban.
Apart from this case the trio is also facing a minimum punishment of 10 years if they are found guilty of defrauding the English bookmakers alongwith http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mazhar-c75448 Majeed, who was released on bail.
The ban imposed by the PCB on Aamer bars him from playing in all formats of the game at all levels.
According to a statement issued by a PCB official, Aamer has said in his defense that he was not aware of the fact that the ban imposed on him by the ICC stops him from competing at club-level.
