Mullahill Boy favourite for Book Now At www.Owlertonstadium.co.uk
Mullahill Boy is likely to prevail in Book Now At www.Owlertonstadium.co.uk at Sheffield in England on Monday, May 21, 2012. A cash prize of £67 has been set for the winner of the Grade A7 event.
The stamina of all runners will be put to a test, as the overall distance to cover is 500 metres. A total of six runners have lined up for action in the race, which is scheduled to start at 11:42 GMT, and their names are as follows: Mullahill Boy,
Babs Gift, Cavansheath Dame, Nina Nina, Tourard Girl and Stormy Kenny.
Although Mullahill Boy has mostly been doing trial runs in recent times, the bookies believe that he will walk away with a victory in the race. However, the bettors might not agree with this and they are likely to risk lesser money on him.
The T. Bedford’s trained hound was unable to win his previous Grade A6 outing and finished third in it. Despite not being the favourite, he was given good odds and was expected to fight for the top two positions. However, he failed to do so in the
end.
Mullahill Boy started well in that race, which suggested that he might win it comfortably. However, he was unable to take advantage of the early momentum and his speed dropped significantly, as the finish line approached. He will need to display better
stamina in order to prevail at Sheffield today.
Today’s favourite hound is the son of Kinloch Brae out of Mullahill Bonnie and was born in September 2009.
On the other hand, Babs Gift might manage to cause an upset at Sheffield, as he is a decent performer. Although victories have dried up for him in the past few events, he has managed to challenge his rivals with consistency.
The J. Walton’s trainee was unable to make a solid impression in his previous appearance, as he finished at the bottom of the table. This shows that he is not in good form at the moment and the punters might not risk a lot of bets in his favour. However,
he has got the experience to make a strong comeback.
Babs Gift is the son of Ahane Lad out of Brown Eyes Blue and was born in July 2007. He is the most experienced campaigner taking part in today’s race.
