Mulleady in form for the “Tote Trifecta Rollover” Handicap (Division I)
The “Tote Trifecta Rollover” Handicap (Division I) has pulled together sixteen four-year and above runners for the mile and four furlong race at the Cork race course on 5th August, 2012. The majority comes from mixed backgrounds with one of the
most versatile being the four-year-old chestnut filly, Mulleady.
She has raced thrice during the new season and has shown remarkable improvement during the last two races which she took part in, placing third and then winning the third outing of the season.
Definite Article’s four-year-old daughter penetrated the 2012 season with the bookings@dundalkstadium.com Fillies Maiden on 17th February, 2012 at Dundalk over a mile. She missed breaking the maiden by failing to the sixth position as the first
one through the wire was, Miss Mediator.
The second stop for the four-year-old chestnut filly was in the Athleague Maiden Hurdle on 10th July, 2012 at Roscommon over two miles.
Mulleady became the third one to jump over the ten hurdles as the race was won by, Medicinal Compound, who defeated the favourite runner-up of the race, Tepalo, by two lengths.
It took the Hard Hat Syndicate owned the third try of the season to post a victory by breaking her maiden.
The chestnut filly out of, Brief Sentiment, won the Mayo Advertiser Mares Maiden Hurdle on 23rd July, 2012 at Ballinrobe over two miles. On the track of eight hurdles, the four-year-old raced in the fifth position and with the last three furlongs
remaining, she ranked third. She progressed towards the home turn impressively and won the race easily by the margin of eight lengths.
Finishing right behind was, Via Del Corso while coming at terms with the third position was the favourite entry, Chiltern Hills.
She has not raced over a mile and four furlongs during the season before, but has raced over distances more than that. The jockey she will get paired up for the race today is, Colin Keane. This will be counted as her second flat racing attempt of the season
as she has been part of hurdle line-ups for the last two starts.
How successful will the change from hurdle to handicap turn out to be will unfold soon.
