can someone help me with this problem? i have no idea how to do it.

  1. pretend for now that the less than or equal to is an = sign.  You want to get y by itself so whatever you do to one side do to the other, first step, subtract 2 from both sides, next step divide both sides by 7, you'll get y (less than or equal to)  - 10/7

    I'm pretty sure, haven't taken algebra in years :-)


  2. 7y+2<=-8

    7y<=-10 (subtract 2 from both sides)

    y<=-10/7
