Landing in Milan on May 2 in the AM. Need to catch a train to Bologna, where we are staying 2 nights. Friday morning we catch a train to Venice, where we stay 2 nights. Sunday morning we take a train to Milan where we will stay a few days.

Can someone tell me how to get from the Milan airport to the train station? Don't want to purchase a ticket in advance because who knows if we will be delayed? Is it easy to get a ticket at the station to Bologna? Once we arrive in Bologna, what is the best way to get to our hotel, Albergo delle Drapperie, on Via Drapperie n. 5? (also, does anyone have something to say about this place or any of my hotels below?) Two days later we take the train to Venice - is it recommended to buy that ticket (and our one to Milan) in advance since we can control when we arrive at the station?

From the Venice train station to our Hotel just 10 meters from San Marco. Vaperetto? Finally, how about getting to the Milan Marriott from the train? Then to the airport?

  1. From the airport in Milan there are regular buses to the train station and the tickets can be bought at the airport. The ticket to Bologna is easy to get at the Milan station. I don't know the hotel but if it is central you can get a taxi fairly easily - probably cost around EUR 10 to EUR 15 if the hotel is central. Going back you can buy the ticket in advance if you want and this would probably better as you can get a reserved seat.  Venice the vaperetto would work  and you can get a taxi to the Milan Marriot and back to the station to catch the bus back to the airport. I hope this is of some help
