Question:

Multiple Networks but only 1 Laptop + 1 Wireless Router ???

Hello,

I am having some issues connecting to the internet while I am at home.

Basically, everytime I connect through the wireless it comes up with 2 different network connections which automatically seem to combine so that in the "Network + Sharing Centre" it says "Multiple Networks" inbetween "my PC" and "Internet"

Unfortunately, this seems to interfere with the internet so that it slows right down and sometimes browsing fails completely and it says "webpage cannot be displayed"

Also, it appears connected in the Network + Sharing Centre, and often is to some extent, but it still says "disconnected" in the "Acer eNet Management" and stays that way no matter how many times I try to connect...although as I said, it does seem to have some connection to the internet still.

This is only an issue while I am at home as it all seems to work perfectly while I am in the office and using the wireless connection there.

Any ideas ?

  1. Data Recovery-

  2. i am guessing it has saved details of ur network more than once...Open Network and sharing center>>>Click on Manage Wireless networks on the left side>>>>>Delete any networks saved in there ..Then just click on add to re-scan for networks...This should do the trick, (i hope!)

    hope it works

  3. Cant really understand what your problem is but it sounds to me like you worry about nothing. How do you know exactly what is causing your slow internet connection, when you see "webpage cant be displayed" click on the refresh button

  4. I got a free laptop from this site, I highly recommend it!

  5. I've been having the same problem (._.) When I connect through to the internet, I get the Cannot display webpage and it has nothing to do with refreshing the page. When I diagnose the problem it says there is multiple networks. So when I check my network and sharing center sure enough there is 2 networks, The one I recognize as the one I've always used but the other I don't :( So I constantly have to disable the one network, in order to connect. This has happened daily for the past 5 days. I'm still searching for a resolution to this problem because I shouldn't have to do this everytime I want to connect through the internet (This is by directly connectly to the modem btw) Now when I try to use my router it's laughable, it will only work for literally 2 hours then it goes down and I have to reset it and reconnect. That's another problems I've been having lately. Anyhow, if I find a better solution for the "Multiple Networks" I'll try to get back here and let you know.
