Mum help !!!!!!!!!not letting me ..

Question

ive got the flu

and 2night its my schools play that 4 of my friends are in and they have been re-hearsing 4 it 4 2 years ,my mum will not let me go as i have the flu

but even though i have the flu and ive had it 4 2 weeks my mum still had 10 friends over last night and let my brother have a friend over to play the day before and even though she dosent have a job she still goes out all day and dose stuff with her friends

im not in the play....but i spent 60 bucks on 2 tickets ,,one for me and one for her

she wants to take my ticket and give it to her friend

i reallyyyy want to go to this play

please help

The difference between your mother having her friends over while you're sick and you going out while you're sick is this: in your house you are confined to your room along with the virus, and therefore the contagion is restricted. If you go into a public auditorium or theatre, there is a very real risk that your contagion will spread very quickly.

I'm with your mother on this one. But then I caught a particular nasty strain of the flu some years ago that really knocked me out back for a couple of months, so I wouldn't risk being in a public place with someone who was obviously sick.

wow i absolutely LOVE my mommy right now...sorry didn't mean to make you feel worse.

But maybe confront her about her actions of leaving you and making you feel unimportant.

I had mono/strep throat/ and a staph infection the day the 7th harry potter book came out.  And yes i am obsessed.  My mom wasn't going to let me go becz in all honesty i was really really really sick and shouldn't have been going.  i begged and then told her if shed let me go i wouldn't ask to leave the rest of the week (when you have mono they put you on bed rest for a week) anyhow...begging seemed to work but my next plan was going to be crying.  try them both lol
