Mumbai's vegetation?

What is the charecteristics of the natural vegetation of Mumbai, India. Eg. Rainforest, grassland or Desert or it could be the amount of trees in Mumbai?

Originally the Former Island in parts from Colaba to Mahim, than from Mahim Khadi till Dhaisar, later til Mira road in Western Rly.  side.  In Central Rly.  side  from Victoria Terminus till KURLA, later extended til Thane.  A HARBOUR RLY.  to deal with the transportations of goods from Mazgaon to- Mahim Junction established.   But all were Marshy land later one by one through Zopadpattis established grounds and now SKY skrapers from Official INVESTMENT FUNDS, from Banks, Insurance co`s etc. thus violating the Natural Beauty and the Law of the Nature?. f.e.g The creek of Mahim was a beautiful Birds Sancturay, which was damaged from Hungry  REAL ESTATE OWNERS, and constructed Modern sky skrapers.  There by violating the Environmenatal fundamental rights, adding the NOIS POLLUTION, in addition inadequate protection to the Seniors and Children's. to walk on Roads. or Recreation Gardens?  This issue was complained to the Chief Minister repeatedly, but went in to the deaf EARS.    Assuming the Changes that, have played an important role in the REAL ESTATE BUSINESS Non of the Local  citizens are benefited, nor the State, inst ed goes in the pockets of International dragons of Money Hungry Investors? and the recent breaking news of over 31 Billion likely to be invested in India from Foreign Investors?  The logic no one invests without any profits? and who makes the profit?

u could call it "forest of cement structures". no rainforest, no grassland, no desert, just countable trees. still it attracts healthy rain. outer mumbai is lush though(khandala,lonavala,mahabaleshwar etc) .
