Mumbai captain, Sachin Tendulkar, won the toss and elected to bat first. TL Suman and Sachin Tendulkar opened the batting for the home side. Suman was dismissed for just five runs by Shane http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ambati-Rayudu-c1007 came in at number three but added just two
runs before he was the second victim for Watson.  Sachin meanwhile was taking his time at the other end and did not get going in the first few overs.  The two right-handers finally put together a decent stand for Mumbai and added 48 runs for the third wicket.
