Mumbai Indians thrash Bangalore Challengers in Indian Premier League 2011

Mumbai Indians were in fine form once again, as they coasted to their second successive win in the fourth season of the Indian Premier League.
The runner’s up of the last event were on top from the very first ball and rarely lost their grip romping home to a crushing 9 wickets win over their hosts Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The hosts had their hopes dashed in front of a packed Chinnaswamy stadium, which was cheering them from the outset.
Lasith Malinga made the perfect start for the Indian when he uprooted the off-stump of Bangalore opener, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mayank-Agarwal-c1937, with a searing yorker off the first ball of the match.
Bangalore was relying on Verat Kohli and Tillakaratne Dilshan for a big score, Kohli was dismissed by Kieron Pollard as he attempted a big swipe across the line of the ball.
The Challengers were helped by an attacking knock by Dilshan, who found the boundary with ease in his unbeaten effort of 59 runs, strangely though he was kept off strike and faced only 52 balls out of the 120 that were at the team’s disposal.

Rayudu scored 63 with the help of 9 fours, while Tendulkar scored 55, which included 7 fours.
The target was overhauled in the 19th over with as many as 9 wickets to spare for the Indians.
