  1. I haven't slept in in years.

I live on a farm, it just isn't possible unfortunately.

I remember what being asleep at 1am felt like though. It was so lovely in my bed wrapped up in my blankets!! I loved it.

    *sigh*

  2. my husband lets me have one every weekend

  3. sleeping in what is that??? Growing up i think the lastest i slept in was 9 a.m. and for 12 years i have been up since 6 or earlier. And i am telling you when they start  to grow and get older it is not easier. My youngest is 5 and he still gets up at 6:30 a,m, but i make all my kids stay in bed till 8. I refuse to get up earlier, because they are old enough to stay in bed them selfs. (sigh) it was a dream of mine anyway. I want to know who gets to sleep in with kids and how they do it.

  4. My babies both sleep until between 9 and 11. My husband gets to sleep in, but I work so I still have to get up. Except during the week when my husband works and I work nights! I guess I got lucky :)

  5. And I'll bet that you would not change a thing, nor have been  content to have never fallen pregnant. Right?

  6. Well, that's motherhood for you.  I have a suggestion, get yourself and I assume 4 year old up early, REALLY early. Fix breakfast, whatever child likes to eat best.  You eat too, have a grand time, even though you may feel like falling over.  After eating, visit the bathroom, both of you crawl into bed, with cartoons on really low volume. Bet you both take a nice relaxing nap.

  7. yeah I remember how good it felt.

I haven't had one for 10 months and many more years to come.

    10 month daughter

    14 weeks pregnant

  8. Oh please please please let me answer!! I will give you my secret! Its a 2 part that must be followed to a 'T' to get results!!

1st part- Keep the kids up about 2 hours past their bedtime. If they are old enough, pour cereal into a bowl and enough milk in a cup for them to pour into the cereal. Leave the cereal on the counter (or table, or where ever they eat), and the milk covered in the fridge. Right before you finally put the kids to bed, show them which bowl and cup of milk is theirs for the morning.

2nd part- (for those with little babies and a husband/partner) PRETEND TO BE A HEAVY SLEEPER!!!! This way he is forced to get up (put the baby moniter on his side, or fall asleep on his side before he gets in bed).

I can tell you, i have 'learned' to pretend i dont hear our baby, he's now almost 17 months. During the week, im up at 6am to get my 5 year old daughter ready for pre-k. I go back to sleep after she gets on the bus and i dont wake up until 11am most of the time. The baby's cereal is already in a bowl and milk in a cup so all my fiance has to do is add more milk to the cereal, and feed him. The diapers and wipes are (conveniently) right next to him when he wakes up. He gets the hint. But on weekends, my daughters cereal is poured out, milk in a cup for her to pour in the bowl when she awakes, and she goes to bed at 10:30. Makes her sleep in until at least 10am. PERFECT!!!!

Other than that, some times his mom takes the kids on the weekends. Which just so happens to be the case that i wake early when they arent there....go figure

  9. Not a mommy yet but you're kinda scaring me, lol. Look at my question and you'll understand why, I do still hope I'm pregnant though!

    thank you

  12. My daughter is only 9 months and to make matters worse from 3 - 6 months she used to sleep till 10 am (from 9pm) and (even with risks of thumbs down LOL) i am missing my sleeps in.....i feel badddddddd!!!!!

  13. yes i loved it i haven't in 8yrs

  14. No, can't say I remember last time I did...but I wouldn't trade all the sleep in the world for my little girl = )

Suppose we all miss out on so much sleep because we really don't want to miss anything...

  15. Wow you poor things...why arn't your bf's/husbands getting up with the kiddies and giving you a break?

I'm 34 weeks pregnant with #3 and my fiance get's up with our 4 and 2 yr old's in the morning an gives them breakfast an get's them dressed an let's me sleep, he wakes me up just before he has to go to work, And on the weekends he does the same but let's me sleep till i wake up, I got up early to let him sleep in this morning an he was up within 5 mins of me anyways lol what a waste of a sleep in!! lol

  16. Five kids and haven't truly slept in for 14 years or so now.  Every once in a while everyone is away.  OH!  Mother's day!  I always get to kinda sleep in on Mother's Day (they are noisy).
