you've had a good nights sleep?

Last night my 4 month old slept pretty well compared to other nights. 7pm Bed, woke at 2.15pm straight back to sleep and awake at 6.30am.

Today nothing has been too much trouble for me. I've been in the best of moods. What do you think?

  1. Sleep what is that.Well on the occasion that i do partake in this odd thing called sleep i am in a fabulous mood.Or pee by myself.

  2. i find a lot of bright places with my kiddos. when my 7 year old daughter tells me she loves me and when my 7 1/2 week old son lays his head on my chest looking around. he looks so safe and secure, i know i must be doing something right. and that makes my world brighter. but as for sleeping, yeah...it makes a huge difference. im very happy that my baby boy is actually on a schedule. he goes down around 9:30 pm wakes up at around 4 am or so. he eats, goes right back to sleep and doesnt wake up until 8:30am.

  3. some days it makes a big difference and other days, like today, i get a great nights sleep and everything during the day goes bad

  4. YES!!!

Sleep is natures way of preparing us to take on anything. Without sleep, we're p!ssed off zombies running around after babies, with our hair a mess and wearing old sweat pants.

Sleep is so valuable a treat after we have babies.. =)

  5. More sleep, and having a great day with your baby can put almost any mommy in a better mood.  It these kinds of nights/days that make all the rough spots worth it in the end... those and the little smiles and coos we get..

  6. Ya know, I have not had a good night's sleep in nearly a week.  My baby has been waking throughout the night, and I've had some pain in my back and leg that just wouldn't let me fall asleep comfortably...

...And it finally pushed me over the brink this morning, when I found myself getting upset and nitpicky over nothing, and starting a fight that sent my SO storming out the door to get away from my c**p.

I think a good night's sleep would do me, and everyone in our household, a world of good, but I just don't know how to go about it.  My SO sleeps too deeply for me to trust him to wake with the baby, and besides that, I'm not sure I could fall asleep without my baby by my side.

Thanks for bringing this up, though.  Maybe if I can't get some nightly rest, a few naps would be in order.  I am definetely over-pushing myself.

  7. I agree when you have a good night sleep everything seems a whole lot better
