Munster Rugby 2011/12 season preparations bolstered with arrival of Queensland Reds utility back Will Chambers

Thomond Park based Irish professional Rugby Union club, Munster Rugby, has announced the signing of the Queensland Reds utility back, Will Chambers, to strengthen their squad for the 2011/12
RaboDirect Pro 12 and Heineken Cup competitions.
Officials at the club have confirmed the signing of the Chambers on a short-term contract, in a statement released on their website on Thursday, September 8.
The addition of the Australian professional rugby union player has added depth to their back resources. The versatile Chambers’ can play at both the winger and centre position. Munster will
be without most of their star players, which are away for their national duties will be relieved with the signing of the talented backs player.
Munster lost most of their star first choice players, who are currently participating in the 2011 Rugby World Cup (RWC).  The 2011 RWC will kick start in New Zealand on Friday, September 9
and will end during the month of the October, later this year.
Munster Rugby Director of Rugby, Tony McGahan, has expressed his delight on securing the services of the former Rugby League player.   He said, “We're delighted to be able
to secure the services of a quality player whose experience gleaned at Super 15 club level will stand us in good stead in the immediate future while our players are on RWC duty and in the crucial period of the Heineken Cup Pool stages.”
Gove born Chambers started his professional Rugby career in the Rugby League. He made his Rugby League debut for the Australian National Rugby League (NRL) outfit, Melbourne Storms in 2007.
He made 42 appearances for the Storms and scored 64 points. He remained with them until the end of the 2009 NRL season.
In 2010, Chambers switched codes and made his Rugby Union debut for the Australian Super Rugby Franchise, Queensland Reds.
The 23-year-old Chambers has been the part of the Reds outfit for the last two seasons and has impressed many with his aggressive running and ball handling skills.
His diverse experience makes him an excellent choice to provide cover for the Munster in absence of their big guns.
