Murakami exhibit?

I just recently went to a Takashi Murakami art exhibit here in Brooklyn NY. Interesting body of work, quite impressed until an art snob friend of mine told me that some of Murakami's "supposed" artwork wasn't even his own but some unknown artist working under his company or something. Is there a truth to this? because if it is true, you can pretty much rate him as a sellout or a cheat dont you think?

After some research I did find that he does work with other people to come up with some of his work, so I would say your friend is right on, some might consider it misrepresentation but thats up to the individual.
